Gregory Pine is the CEO of MPA Healthcare Solutions. He oversees strategic and financial planning and establishes priorities for developmental and marketing initiatives. Since assuming this role in January 2004, Mr. Pine has been instrumental in shifting the firm’s focus from individualized developmental and consulting engagements to the creation of innovative products and service packages that meet the needs of a broad spectrum of healthcare organizations.
Michael Pine, MD, MBA
Dr. Pine is president and founder of MPA Healthcare Solutions, an innovative consulting firm that specializes in measuring and improving the clinical quality of health care across the nation. Since 1988, Dr. Pine has assisted scores of hospitals, clinicians and others to analyze and evaluate data on clinical quality and healthcare delivery and to apply the findings to their clinical and managerial decisions. His innovations have included a measure for adverse outcomes that is more objective than reported complications, separate length-of-stay indicators for effectiveness and efficiency, and episode-based risk adjustment for global reimbursement.
Donald Fry, MD

Donald E. Fry, M.D. is Executive Vice President for Clinical Outcomes Management at MPA Healthcare Solutions, Adjunct Professor of Surgery at Northwestern University, and Professor Emeritus of Surgery at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. At MPA Healthcare Solutions, Dr. Fry provides clinical leadership in analyzing and evaluating clinical performance, guiding quality improvement, and creating incentives for coordinated, cost-effective care.
Susan Nedza, MD, MBA
Senior Vice President, Clinical Outcomes
MPA has named Susan Nedza, MD, MBA, as Senior Vice President of Clinical Outcomes Management, and leads the firm’s work in the areas of clinical quality assessment and improvement, bundled payments, and comparative effectiveness. Dr. Nedza’s broad experience as a board-certified emergency medicine specialist, a Regional Chief Medical Officer at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Senior Executive at the American Medical Association (AMA), and as a Health Information Technology Executive has given her a unique vantage point of the confluence of clinical care, health care delivery systems, clinical informatics and health care policy.
